What’s New
Brenda just met with Jessica, founder and creative director of The HopeFULL Company, based in Hopkins, MN. Their company offers creative meal ideas for those who have trouble eating due to medical ailments and treatments.
Their mission states:
“We aim to make it easy to prepare satisfying, nutrient-dense and easily edible meals for those having trouble eating.
We aspire to provide friends and family of a person experiencing illness or issues surrounding eating with a method to support their loved one.
We wish to share HOPE. Hope for strength, hope for healing and hope for tomorrow!”
We look forward to working with them in the future either at the Mill City Farmer’s Market or in cooperation with our ChowKids Cookbook.

As we move into the New Year, we wanted to tell you all how appreciative we are for your continued support of us here at Spoonriver, and what we’re all about.
We believe in using Local, Organic and Sustainable products in our restaurant and bringing the farmers directly to the people.
The Mill City Farmer’s Market had an amazing season! We had our 1st annual Bread Festival featuring a delicious “Bake-Off” with incredibly talented participants including local amateur bakers!
We had our third year successful cooking course that Brenda taught through the University of Minnesota Center for Spirituality and Healing, which had many health practitioners in attendance.
Remember you can purchase at the restaurant Brenda’s new cookbook ChowKids, aimed at Educating Children and Families in partnership with Children’s hospital.
2012 is sure to bring plenty of opportunities for more education and participation for all of you!
And last but not least we are very excited to announce “The Spoonriver Cookbook” by Brenda Langton and Margaret Stuart will be coming out in May 2012!
Thank you all!
Brenda and Tim
